My Whirlpool dryer model #LER7648PT1 stopped tumbling. I was cleaning the inside of it and turned it the wrong dirrection apparently and I heard a loud noise. It works but the tub doesn't turn now.

The dishwasher (Whirlpool) will not stay running. I push the door in and it starts to run, but then stops... I suspect it is the locking mechanism - needs to be adjusted or replaced. Thanks

Most dishwasher repairs and troubleshooting are complicated tasks, and should be left to a licensed repair professional only. However, there are minor dishwasher repairs that you can perform yourself, provided you have more than adequate plumbing and electrical DIY skills. However, no dishwasher repairs must be undertaken before switching off the power supply to the appliance. You can do this either by unplugging the unit, or turning off power supply at the fuse box. Also, remember that a dishwasher tends to have sharp edges that you must be careful of to avoid injury. Most dishwasher repair problems involve poor cleaning. If your dishwasher fails to clean properly, it's most likely a problem with a defective water inlet valve. In such cases, repairs of the valve can take care of the dishwasher repair problem. Also, make sure that your filter is cleaned regularly to avoid clogging with food debris. Cleaning problems can also occur because of a clogged spray arm. Food particles can block the holes in the arms leading to cleaning problems. Also, make sure that your drain valve is free of clogs.
Cleaning problems are common with dishwashers. Most of these are caused when the machine does not receive enough water to wash the dishes. This is usually linked to a defective water inlet valve. You can find this valve at the bottom right or left of the appliance. Cleaning problems may also be caused because of clogged internal filters. This is especially true of dishwashers that have filters which need periodic cleaning. Your product manual will detail instructions for cleaning the filter. Look for a clogged drain valve that allows water to drain out while the wash cycle is on. Dishwasher repairs often involve a failure of the water to enter the dishwasher. This is again caused by a defective water inlet valve. Replace this, and the problem should correct itself. If your dishwasher fails to drain itself properly, then look for a clogged drain line. You may find the clog at the location where the drain line is attached to the garbage disposal unit or your main drain line
For dishwasher repairs of a noisy appliance, look for a failing water inlet valve. The shuddering of the valve can shake the water lines leading to the noise. Your dishwasher's motor bearings can wear out causing noise. Also, look for worn out heater fan bearings, or pieces of food debris that are clogged in the pump.
